E-commerce experts?

Postby Homerless » Fri Dec 11, 2009 7:21 pm

Don't hurt to ask I guess...

Since I notice a love of anime seems to coincide with sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time, I figure one of you guys might be a e-commerce expert.

I got a car part website (think Initial D & Fast and the Furious) with a partner that has been up and running for about 9 months now. We are spending about 3 G's a month on Google/Yahoo/Bing and some other shopping sites. We get decent traffic (I think) and I imagine the pricing and checkout is good enough, but it doesn't end up converting to orders (like 0.006% convert). I can't help but think we are doing something wrong.

Though I doubt of any of you guys are too familiar with the product, I am looking for someone with experience in e-commerce to do some ...errr...e-consulting.

Goals: Increase page rank (at PR2 right now) , get onto DMOZ (they fricking hate us), increase effectiveness of facebook campaigns (I am not sure how many invites I can send out at a time or how to add to fan page), analyze our SEO practices for future use, devise a way to get an email out to 10,000 + emails (I got a list already), and most importantly increase the amount of money in my pho' and anime fund.

If anybody knows what they are doing, and acting as a one time / once a month / whatever advisor, please hit me up and I will give you the website (since I ain't trying to spam the forum) so you can give me an estimate and or/advice.

Thanks,

Homer

Well, if anybody ever runs into the same problem,I highly recommend "The Art of SEO" and "SEO Warrior" both published in 2009 by O'Reilly Books. I hear some companies charge $3,500 a month for SEO service... those books cost about $40 each unless you find the torrent ;) ;)
