Japanese Songs that are Rip Offs of "American" Songs

Postby Aozora » Wed Nov 18, 2009 12:04 pm

Yes. There are so many that sound similar my bro calls Arashi "those song stealers". But a LOT of Japanese songs sound like I've heard in English. And I'm not talking about cover songs or remakes of American songs. A coincidence?

Anyone else encountered this?

Well I haven't encountered a Japanese song that sounds like an American song. ^_^;

In my opinion, I think it's sometimes a coincidence...maybe? I don't know, it might be due to what type of music is "trendy" during that time OR they could've used American songs as influences. Then again I could be wrong.... >_>;;

technically "western"/"american" hip hop and rap tend to sound a lot like each also. they all tend to use the same bg, but change the lyrics around.. same is done with japanese music etc. it's not song stealing when they are just reusing a licensed bg to their song.
